Game guide
How to play Accra Life
New to Accra Life? This guide walks you through your first session, from exploring the map to decorating your apartment and meeting other players.
1. Explore the map, then create your account
Open accralifeapp.com and you can look around the Accra map straight away as a guest. When you are ready to play, sign up with a name, username and password. Email is optional.
2. Design your character
Pick your gender, body shape, skin tone, hairstyle, facial hair, outfit and up to several accessories. Then choose a personality. You can visit the tailor later to change your look.
3. Move into your apartment
Every new player starts in a Madina apartment with a bed, bathroom and kitchen. Tap anything in the room to see what it is and what you can do with it, like sleeping, sitting or freshening up.
4. Travel with the Accra map
Tap the map button to see every district. Gold pins mark places you can enter. Tap a place and travel there directly.
5. Earn Game cedis
Open your in-game phone to take hustles (timed shifts), buy and run businesses, and send money to friends. Your balance and progress are saved to your account, so you never lose them when you refresh or sign back in.
6. Take care of your needs
Energy, hunger, hygiene and mood change over time. Sleep in your bed, cook or buy food, and shower to stay at your best.
7. Decorate and upgrade your home
At home, tap Buy to browse furniture and finishes in Ghana cedi prices. Preview items, place them, rotate them and store them. As you grow, rent or buy larger homes across the city.
8. Make friends and hang out
Use the People and chat buttons to find players, send friend requests and message them. Invite friends over, let people in when they knock, talk with voice chat, and dance together with the actions button.
Tips for new players
- Play on your phone's browser; you can add the site to your home screen like an app.
- Keep your needs topped up before starting long hustles.
- Visit the Afterglow Club in East Legon to meet lots of players at once.
